My first cookbook was Ada Boni's, my second and third were Marcella Hazan's books.

The translation of Ada Boni is an interesting example because the English version has been shortened, and a few American recipes added. There's a new translation coming out this year though, so I'm curious how updated it is.

My Ada Boni book was a freebie for sending in Ronzoni box tops and has a section in the middle for recipes added by Ronzoni for pasta sauces.
