Wellfleet Oysters, quahogs, and other shellfish are a hot commodity, and fishing is a tightly regulated industry on Cape Cod. The native Wampanoag people though claim they have ancestral rights to fish in the waters — and that’s exactly what they’re doing. But environmental changes from development have had a big impact on fishing the waters.
Housing Crisis Hits Restaurant Workers

Oyster Recall
A few bad oysters harvested in July are being recalled because they might be tainted. The shellfish were harvested and sold by Island Creek Oysters and Chatham Shellfish Co.
